I am sitting in the Charlotte airport waiting for my next flight to Tennessee. I will be in Tennessee for about a week staying in cabins with my family. I am so excited to see all my extended family at the family reunion on the 4th! Since I will be up in the mountains, I will have no phone and no internet for about a week! Although I will miss the technology a little bit, I am looking forward to the break!
Oregon {Florida Photographer: Salem.Portland Oregon}
If you follow my blog or if you know me at all you know that I spend time out in Oregon every year. Normally I head out here for August and September (hurricane season in Florida.) Well, this year I had a couple weddings to shoot in June, so I came out here a little early.
It’s been a jam packed trip so far. I started off my trip going to Outward Church’s first Sunday in their new building! My good friends Matt and Chris (You’ll see their kids in a later post) started this church a couple years ago. This is such an exciting move! The space is great and I can’t wait to see how God uses this location. It opens up so many new opportunities to serve their community.
I spent a wonderful day with my good friend Bethany, who is not a friend from Oregon, but a friend from the FLorida Keys. Small world =). She came home for a few weeks before she takes off to travel the world for a year.
We hit up one of my favorite places in Portland… Powell’s Book Store. We read some books about her first destination… Guatemala.
Did I mention how much I LOVE how Green Oregon is!!!!
This is Matt and Chris’s newest addition to their family! She was born five weeks ago. She is such a sweet baby. We did some photos of her yesterday before we headed to the park with her brother and cousin for a little photo session with the boys.
Aren’t those boys soooo cute!

Allison and Seth Wedding {Florida Keys Wedding Photographer. Pierre’s Islamorada}
Allison and Seth were married back in April at Pierre’s. This was such a fun couple to photograph. They decided to see each other before the ceremony for photos. I HIGHLY recommend this!!! We had such a great time and we were able to capture so many beautiful images of the bride and groom. All the photos before the ceremony were taken at the resort where they were staying, Casa Morada.
A couple weeks after the wedding, I was surprised by a package in the mail. This is not an unusual occurrence, but this one wasn’t from the album company, the lab, or any of my other vendors. It was from Allison and Seth! They sent me a beautiful Thank You gift! There was a little purse, some fish earrings and the kindest words! Allison follows my blog so I am guessing she picked the fish earrings because she knows how much I LOVE TO FISH! If this wasn’t enough, a couple days later another package came in the mail for my assistant with a thank you gift for her! WOW?!? We both felt so special! =) It was such a good reminder to me to let the people around me know when they are appreciated! Usually the only time I say anything, is when something goes wrong, but why not when something goes right!

My nieces in Twist of Lime clothes {Florida Keys Children Photography}
My sister-in-law dresses my nieces in some of the cutest outfits! She loves the Twist of Lime company on Etsy and now so do I!! We did a really quick shoot after my grandmothers birthday party. I could have photographed them in these outfits for hours, but the sun was setting and the bugs were bitting. Gosh I LOVE these girls! I might be biased but aren’t they the most adorable little girls ever!?!?! =)

My Grandma turns 90!!!! {Florida Keys Photographer}
After shooting a beautiful wedding on Saturday in Virginia, I had to hurry home to make it for my Grandmother’s 90th Birthday Party. I had booked my ticket months ago to make sure I had the first flight out. Of course that flight was canceled and then my ten o’ clock flight was delayed. So, I did a quick change in a Starbucks bathroom and went straight to my Grandmother’s Party (just a little late.) I had soooooo much fun! My brother Neal came in with his family as well as a TON of my extended family. My mom is one of seven kids so our family is BIG! My grandmother still loves to dance so we had LOTS of dancing at the party!! My niece Riley and I danced the afternoon away! 
Here is a photo of my grandmother with a bunch of her great grandkids and a couple of the younger grandkids. I love the shot, because it’s just pure chaos! We are still missing probably about 10 more in this photo =)

Dan and Daviana Sneak Peek {Florida Keys Wedding Photography/Reston, VA Wedding}
I photographed a beautiful wedding this past weekend in Reston, Va (Just outside of D.C..) You might recognize this couple from some engagement photos I did for them in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. I had such a GREAT time with them. It was a whirlwind of trip! Birthday Fishing Trip {Florida Keys Photographer}
My Birthday was back in April and my good friend Lisa gave me an awesome gift that we just used on Monday. We went Kayak Fishing out of Big Pine. It has been raining a ton over the last couple weeks, but the weather on Monday was PERFECT!!! It was glass calm and blue skies. We learned how to stand up in the Kayaks and use our paddles to pole across the flats. We saw all kinds of sharks, sting rays, bonefish and even a tarpon the circled under us a few times. It was breathtaking! We ended up kayaking over to Bahia Honda after our morning of fishing. I have to say, kayaking through those deep, dark blue waters under the bridge was a little scary. I’ve seen some photos of some pretty big sharks that were caught in that exact area. Nothing like getting the heart pumping on a Monday morning!

Lovely Sneak Peek {Florida Keys Maternity Photography}
Last night I did a photo shoot for Rachel. She is expecting a baby boy and I can’t wait to photograph him when he arrives in August!
