Kaiyo and Green Turtle Restaurant will be using my photos again for the article in Dining Out Magazine, but they needed a new shot that included their new Chef at Kaiyo, Chef Michael. Here is what we did =).

Ok so a few months back I did a shoot at the Green Turtle for Pave Creative Group. They are an ad agency representing Mountain Lumber Company. Well, I told you I would post the ad when it came in… here it is.

The image on the right is the one I captured of the floors at the Green Turtle. I LOVE the final product. I think they did a beautiful job!

Although I was tired after my long day on Saturday, I was excited to be apart of the first ever Iron Chef Competition in the Florida Keys. Several chefs from some of our local restaurants competed in this amazing competition. I never knew I could have so much fun watching people cook. The Green Turtle asked me to photograph their competitor Chef Andy Niedenthal. Who, by the way, took home the first place trophy! The final competition was between the Green Turtle and Hawk’s Cay and one of the secret ingredients was Macaroni and Cheese. If you weren’t there, you should have been there to see what these guys came up with. Not only was the food beautiful and fun to photograph it also tasted AMAZING!!! Congrats again Green Turtle, Andy and Will!!

  • Karen - I heard about the Iron Chef fun from my son, Chef Will Kreiner, who competed with Chef Andy Niedenthal on the Green Turtle team…your photos are great!!! Wish I had been there, too!

If you are a frequent visitor to my blog you already know that I do a lot of exciting work for the Plantation Boat Mart . Well, Saturday had to be one of the most exciting jobs I’ve done for them yet. I did my first photo shoot from a helicopter. I had a blast. I learned a lot from the shoot and there a few things I would change next time I go up, but I was still able to get some great shots of their beautiful line of Deep Impact Boats. I even got to work with my dear friend Frazier Nivens of Ocean Imaging . I can’t wait to see some of the video footage he took.

The photos of the helicopter are courtesy of my dear friend Lisa Porter, who we used as a model in one of the boats =).
