On Monday I had the opportunity to shoot Ashley’s pregnancy photos. Ashley’s pregnant with her first child, a baby boy! I can’t wait to get those newborn photos in a few weeks.

Not only did Ashley’s husband get involved in the shoot, but her Mom and sister came over for a “girls” photo too. Of course the sisters had to share embarrassing stories about each other during the shoot, so we had some good laughs.

Sometimes it is hard to get up at that early morning hour (and actually have your brain working =), but it’s so worth it for these gorgeous sunrise colors. Thursday morning I had a great time photographing Mara’s Pregnancy photos. One of her friends told me how cute her belly was, but she didn’t tell me how easy it would be to photograph her.

So, I am thinking about reevaluating my friendship with one particular couple. You see, twice this past week they had me getting up before 6 am. The first time was for the first day of mini lobster season, when we were awake at 5:30am. The second time was this past Saturday to take advantage of that morning light to capture some pregnancy photos for my beautiful friend Julie. Of course I am kidding about reevaluating their friendship. I’ll get up that early any day for lobster or the opportunity to take images like these.

I am so very thankful for the good weather we had Tuesday morning. We were able to finally get those sunrise shots of Mychelle on the beach. I am so glad we gave it a second try because they came out BEAUTIFUL! I hope you enjoy!

Saturday morning I woke up at 5:15 am to get some shots of a restaurant at dawn before my sunrise shoot with Mychelle on the beach. Unfortunately, the rain did not allow us to get those photos but I was able to capture some images with my studio at their house. We haven’t given up on those sunrise shots yet. We are hoping the weather will be good to us this week.
